I love using matcha in every recipe I try - I think it gives another level of depth in flavor, especially in sweets. It really brings out a subtle toasted earthy taste, in addition to having the most beautiful (and natural) green color.
These matcha cookies use browned butter so these really have a complex flavor profile but they're easy to make yet sure to impress!

What you'll need for this recipe:
1 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
2 tbsp matcha powder
1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 eggs room temperature
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
Directions:
Brown butter in pan until light golden brown. Let cool.
Combine flour, baking soda, salt; then set aside.
Mix sugar, brown sugar, browned butter, eggs and vanilla extract. Whisk until light and fluffy (1 min)
Add flour mixture and using a spatula, combine until dough forms.
Add white chocolate chips.
Allow dough to chill in fridge for at least 1 hour (i did the entire night)
Roll out about 1 tablespoon of dough into balls (use smaller balls for the eyes on top)
Bake for 10 mins at 350 F.
Cool and then use chocolate to decorate!
